ARC: Kolkata, West Bengal, India; In today’s world the palate of communication is diverse; ARC is a Development Communications Organization - built on the basic principle – “of the people, by the people , for the people” . We at ARC are extending opportunities to communities in the form of development communication tools to engage them in creating different medium of art that truly can depict the realistic nature of problems, depict them in the best form and communicate to the world . ARC believes in the strength of Participatory Media and that communities have the potential to create and manage their own media and its content for expression in turn to be used as devices in overcoming various challenges at the grass root to address different issues of their concern. ARC ’s Community Media thus is accessible and controlled by the common people living in various communities. Usage of Comics, Puppetry, Collage, Story-telling, Photography, Poster making, Art and Craft, Creative Writing, Theatre, Film-making etc .
